Water is complimented by the appropriate use of hard materials. The colour, solidity and texture of various stone will always highlight and contrast against the cool clarity of good quality water. Attractive stonework, be it classical or modern that is both functional and beautiful, is a special area of expertise for us at Aquascapia.
We appreciate that water likes to flow freely. Minor flaws in stone and irregularities on the surfaces of materials need to be worked to the advantage of the feature. With that in mind, the choice of materials is very important; how they will weather in years to come is also taken into consideration.
To successfully marry a feature with a garden we strive to have a flow of continuity from the water into the surrounding garden. Many years of working with stone have provided the experience necessary to place each individual stone so that it is in keeping with its surroundings. If specific stone is required it will be hand picked so that every garden is bespoke and functional features such as steps and patios come together to a final picture at effortless elegance.
