Bees are a hugely important insect. Not only do they and their insect friends pollinate three quarters of wild Irish plants but it has been estimated that bees are worth €53m a year to the economy. Ireland has 97 bee species 20 of which are the fluffy bumble bees, the rest being made up of solitary bees and the honey bee. These buzzing bees can be encouraged into the garden with bee friendly planting and the inclusion of bee houses in the right areas. Aquascapia would be delighted to help increase the numbers of these hard workers by improving their environment through beautiful gardens. We would love the opportunity to work with you to identify and assist the endangered ones too.
